Halo Infinite Online Campaign Co-Op Test: How To Sign Up

"Halo Infinite" has had a successful, if somewhat strange, launch. The game suffered from a disappointing delay before delighting fans with the surprise release of its multiplayer mode weeks before its campaign. Critics have been raving about the combat, though they have been split on the graphics. Even now, the game still isn't finished, though. There are several modes that fans are still waiting for 343 Industries to release. A screenshot leak back in March suggested that a "Warzone"-inspired battle royale mode may be on the way, but the most anticipated mode has to be the campaign co-op.

Being able to play through the campaign in co-op mode has been a part of the "Halo" franchise since the very beginning, with many players considering battling alongside their friends to save the world from aliens to be their favorite thing about the games. 343 Industries has been adamant that they've been working on this mode since the beginning, but it has just announced that fans will be able to participate in a test run of co-op mode in July and that the completed version of the mode will be released later this year. Players wishing to join in on the test will have to jump through a few hoops, though.

Signing up for Halo Insider

343 Industries has a special program for fans called Halo Insider. According to the site, those who join the program will "have the opportunity to provide feedback and insights that help shape and inform current and future Halo franchise initiatives. Halo Insiders will also have exclusive "opportunities to participate in public 'flights' (hands-on playtests) of in-progress Halo game releases and provide feedback to our development teams." It turns out that one of those public flights the description is referring to is the campaign co-op for "Halo Infinite," so fans who wish to participate will need to join up, and soon.

The process for joining is a little involved and it is only open to applicants over the age of 18. In order to become an Insider, fans need to log in using an active Microsoft account, agree to the company's confidentiality agreement, and verify personal information such as age, region and games that they own and are interested in. They will then have to state which platform they are playing on. Xbox users only need to provide information about their console, input device, audio, and display. PC users will need to follow a step-by-step process in order to provide the account with their computer's hardware specifications, link their Steam account, and then provide information about input devices and audio. Since linking the player's Steam account is a required step in the process, it doesn't seem that PC users playing the game through Xbox Game Pass will be able to participate.
