The Plot Thickens With The Only Murders In The Building Season 2 Teaser Trailer
"Only Murders in the Building" enjoyed an unprecedented level of success during its first season. Not only was the show a runaway hit for Hulu, becoming its highest-comedy of all time (per Vulture), but it garnered a lot of critical success as well. Currently, Season 1 of "Only Murders in the Building" sits at a staggering 100% on Rotten Tomatoes with 101 critics weighing in. It's hardly surprising, either, that fans received the amazing news that the show had been renewed for Season 2 early on in its initial run.
And thank the true-crime gods that it did get renewed, too, especially considering the state of affairs at the end of Season 1. The freshman season of "Only Murders in the Building" saw Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) finally solve the murder of Tim Kono (Julian Cihi) only to be framed and arrested for the murder of Bunny (Jayne Houdyshell), the president of the Arconia building. Fans have been wondering for months what the fate of these characters would be. Well, thankfully, the first teaser trailer for Season 2 of "Only Murders in the Building" has dropped, and it's pointing to several plot-thickening developments.
Only Murders in the Building Season 2 looks to raise the stakes even higher
Fans who have been waiting for plot details concerning Season 2 of "Only Murders in the Building" can finally rest easy, as the first teaser trailer has finally been released. While the trailer is only a minute long, it packs in a lot of revelations concerning the fates of Charles, Oliver, and Mabel. After being arrested for the murder of Bunny, it seems as if the show's protagonists manage to at least make their way back to the Arconia building somehow, though the trailer doesn't make it clear how.
Regardless, this latest season of "Only Murder in the Building" looks to raise the stakes considerably, with the protagonists racing against time to clear their own names while dealing with a murderer who is intent on leaving clues and evidence of the murder in their apartments. The trailer also teases the addition of new cast members, such as Cara Delevingne's Alice, Michael Rapaport's Detective Kreps, and Amy Schumer's as-of-yet unnamed guest role.
While this is surely only the first of a few trailers to come, the trailer offers just enough information to intrigue the show's ever-growing and insatiable fanbase. Season 2 of "Only Murders in the Building" premieres June 28, 2022, on Hulu.
