The Thor: Love And Thunder Teaser Moment That Fans Can't Help But Love
In 2022, Marvel Studios is set to release its long-awaited follow-up to 2017's "Thor: Ragnarok" in the form of "Thor: Love and Thunder." The new film from director Taika Waititi is set to hit theaters in July, and in anticipation of its release, Marvel has finally unveiled the first teaser trailer for the film. The teaser, while light on plot details and relatively short in length, does a good job of selling "Love and Thunder" as a tonally lighthearted and visually playful new film from both Waititi and Marvel. It also, notably, gives Marvel fans their first real look at Natalie Portman's Jane Foster as The Mighty Thor.
That latter moment is just one of several memorable sequences that are packed into the "Love and Thunder" teaser. The trailer also includes several scenes in which Thor (Chris Hemsworth) can be seen teaming up with Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy. As a matter of fact, there's one very brief moment between Star-Lord and Thor that Marvel Cinematic Universe fans were particularly happy to see in the "Love and Thunder" teaser.

Near the end of the first trailer for "Thor: Love and Thunder," Chris Pratt's Peter Quill tells Chris Hemsworth's Thor, "You ever feel lost? Just look into the eyes of the people that you love." In the moment, Quill is very clearly talking about his fellow members of the Guardians of the Galaxy. However, Thor interrupts the scene by slowly leaning into Quill's view — assuming that his fellow MCU hero is talking about their love for each other.
It's a small but humorous moment, one which seems to suggest that Thor and Quill have both grown considerably more fond of each other in the time they've spent together following the end of "Avengers: Endgame." The scene seems to have landed well with Marvel fans, with many taking to social media to share their thoughts on it.
For instance, in a Reddit thread dedicated to discussing the teaser, u/TapiocaChoka wrote, "Thor's face gradually sliding into Quill's periphery killed me. This looks heartwarming." In response, u/Stonewalled89 admitted that they hope there are "plenty of" moments between Quill and Thor in "Love and Thunder" because they "really enjoyed their dynamic at the end [of] 'Endgame.'" Another fan expressed a similar wish, writing, "I want them to be besties by the end of the movie."
Of course, fans will have to wait until the film's July 8 release date to see exactly how Star-Lord and Thor's friendship evolves in "Thor: Love and Thunder."
