The Last Jedi Photo Hints Luke Is Tempted By The Dark Side
In the Star Wars galaxy, fashion choices are rarely arbitrary.
Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill graces the cover of a Hungarian magazine called Mozimánia, and it might provide a significant clue about where Luke's head is at in The Last Jedi.
We only got a few seconds of Skywalker in the closing scene of The Force Awakens and, in the teaser for The Last Jedi, he looks pretty much the same. He's wearing the same tan and white cloak that resembles what Obi-Wan Kenobi and fellow Jedi traditionally wear.
But the new image shows Luke in a much more ominous outfit. It's all black with some pretty severe angles, which could signal a turn to the dark side.

Of course, this isn't the first time Luke has darkened his wardrobe. He wore black in Return of the Jedi, referencing that the young Skywalker could be seduced to the dark side and team with the Emperor and his dad, Darth Vader. But it should definitely be noted that Luke didn't go to the dark side, despite some dark actions.
Everything happens for a reason when it comes to Star Wars promotion, and Skywalker does say in the teaser that "the Jedi must end." So it's entirely possible that he's rethinking his allegiance, or at least, we're supposed to think he is. Either that, or Luke just realized that black is more slimming.
We'll have to wait to find out. The Last Jedi hits theaters Dec. 15. Until then, find out why the movie will blow you away.
