Two New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Vehicles Revealed

Some classics never go out of style, even for The First Order.

The Star Wars Show unveiled two new vehicles from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and they're more or less updates on old favorites. Both of the vehicles belong to the First Order, which is essentially the Empire, so they'll be some of what the Resistance is up against.

The first is the AT-M6 walker, which stands for All Terrain Megacaliber 6. That's because it's got a Megacaliber 6 laser cannon mounted on its back. But while old AT-ATs walked sort of like an elephant, this much larger model moves more like a simian, which helps stabilize it to shoot the cannon.

The second vehicle is the First Order Dreadnought, which looks a lot like an Imperial Star Destroyer, but it's bigger and flatter. It's got two orbital auto cannons on the bottom and 24 defense anti-aircraft cannons on top, so there's really no good angle to come at it. It's also massive at 25,162 feet long.

Meanwhile, we also know what those adorable porgs will sound like. If you're just hearing about them, they're creatures that inhabit the rocky outpost on the planet Ahch-To where Luke Skywalker has been hiding. Porgs are small, hamster-like creatures that were inspired by puffins that populate the real-life island in Ireland, where the scenes were shot. A YouTube user uploaded video of the toy version that will hit shelves soon, probably in September. Check it out below.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi lands in theaters on Dec. 15. Find out why the movie will blow you away.
