Ron Howard Shares A Photo Of A New R2 Unit In Han Solo
You'd think droids would be easy to direct, but that might not be the case.
Ron Howard, director of the upcoming Han Solo prequel, posted another new photo from behind the scenes, and this time he introduces us to a new R2 unit. It isn't the famous R2-D2 (you can tell from the yellow panels), but it's always nice to see an astromech onboard.
Howard shared the photo on Twitter along with the joking caption: "These droids can be so damn intractable. But we'll go until we get it right!"

It sure seems like everything is back on track since Howard stepped in to helm the Star Wars anthology flick. Lucasfilm tapped him to replace Phil Lord and Christopher Miller after creative differences prompted a change midway through production in June. Rumors began swirling that things were pretty rocky, and there were reports that the studio brought in an acting coach to help Alden Ehrenreich, the movie's lead.
But Howard recently said that the project is "coming along great," and if it weren't for his social media posts, we wouldn't have any idea how the film is shaping up. So far, he's offered up our first look at Chewbacca and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. At the very least, Howard seems to bring a positive energy, and his track record with blockbusters like Apollo 13 and The Da Vinci Code pretty much speaks for itself.
The Han Solo movie is currently slated to arrive May 25, 2018. Until we hear more, find out what we hope to see in the film.
