Daniel Craig Plans A Heist In New Logan Lucky Trailer

Channing Tatum and Adam Driver are down on their luck in the newest trailer for Logan Lucky. The film features the pair as Jimmy and Clyde Logan, two brothers who hatch a plot to rob the Coca-Cola 600 race, the biggest race of the year at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The newest trailer beings with Jimmy losing his construction job and being reminded by his ex-wife Bobbie Jo (Katie Holmes) that she has full custody of their daughter. While Jimmy says he's getting a lawyer, Bobbie Jo reminds him that he has no money, leading to him writing up a robbery to-do list that his brother soon discovers.

Jimmy, as it turns out, worked construction on the Charlotte Motor Speedway, and thus he knows how they move the money and believes that he can steal it. Clyde agrees to help, but they realize that they need an expert at blowing up bank vaults– Joe Bang, an incarcerated felon played by a scene-stealing Daniel Craig. While Bang reminds the two about his current jailed position, they say they know how to break him out, and he agrees to help as well (albeit in a little less explosive way than the Logans initially thought).

The trailer reminds us that Jimmy is doing this for his daughter, but it doesn't get too much into sweet moments, instead sticking with humor, featuring a naked Craig, a mention of "all the Twitters," and quite a few hijinks. "You Logans must be as simple-minded as people say," Craig tells Jimmy and Clyde. "Do people say that?" the pair responds in unison.

Riley Keough, Hilary Swank, Katherine Waterston, Seth MacFarlane, and Sebastian Stan also star in Logan Lucky, which is directed by Steven Soderberg (the Ocean's trilogy, Magic Mike) based on a script by Rebecca Blunt. The movie will race into theaters on August 18; while we wait, see some movies (including one starring Tatum) you didn't know were being made right now.
