Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Renewed For Season 4

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is still alive, dammit. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Ellie Kemper comedy will get a fourth season at Netflix.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which comes from creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, was initially ordered at NBC, but then moved to Netflix. The series follows Kemper's Kimmy, a young woman struggling to adjust to real-life after being rescued from an underground bunker. Her adventures also rope in Jane Krakowski's Jacqueline, a rich socialite, Tutuss Burgess' Titus, Kimmy's dramatic roommate, and Carol Kane's Lillian, Kimmy's landlady.

Season three premiered in May. The series, known for its mega-famous guest stars, recruited Daveed Diggs, Kenan Thompson, Josh Charles, Judah Friedlander, Jon Hamm, Maya Rudolph, and Laura Dern for its most recent outing. The show has thus far received 11 Emmy nominations, including multiple nominations for Kemper, Burgess, and outstanding comedy series. The show will likely be a regular feature again when the 2017 nominations are announced next month.

There is no word yet on a premiere date for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season three, although the past seasons of the show have premiered in the spring. While we wait for more Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, see some upcoming Netflix originals you didn't know were being made.
