Ant-Man Attends A Science Fair In Disney XD Short
Ant-Man runs into some trouble helping his daughter win the science fair in the first of the character's Disney XD shorts. The miniature hero will be the star of a series of six shorts for the network, set to air on June 10 and 11; the first, however, has already made its way online.
In the short, Scott's daughter Cassie tells him that she wants to have the biggest volcano explosion so that she can win the science fair. She runs into a bit of a snag, though, when Scott realizes that he forgot to include the baking powder, leading to him running off to the bathroom to suit up and shrink down to save the project.
However, his plan is hindered when Yellowjacket attacks. "You're just as pathetic as your daughter's science fair project," the villain tells him. The two fly into a hamster cage, where Ant-Man mega-sizes a piece of cheese that he then uses to leap towards the volcano. "In your face, with science," he says, as he throws the baking powder into the volcano, setting it off and obliterating Yellowjacket in the process.
In the end, though, despite the fact that Cassie's volcano filled the room with foam, she does not win the day, as that honor goes ot the giant cheese. "I just love cheese," says the teacher. "I can respect that," Scott responds.
"Science Fair" will air on Disney XD on June 10 at 7:58 a.m. ET, while "Alien Invasion" will air that day at 11:58 a.m. and "Soup Time" will air at 2:58 p.m. The next day, June 11, will see the premiere of "Exterminator" at 11:28 a.m., "Proton Cube" at 5:28 p.m., and "Not a Date" at 8:58 p.m. The shorts are written by Brian Wysol (Rick and Morty) and directed by Ugo Bienvenu (Maman) and Kevin Manach (Les chiens isoles); Marvel's Stan Lee executive produces, while Passion Pictures handles animation.
While we wait to see what other adventures the animated Ant-Man will get up to, see some dumb things in the big screen Ant-Man that everyone just ignored.
