The Solo Character Fans Think Will Become The Book Of Boba Fett's Villain

The first trailer for "The Book of Boba Fett" has many fans talking about the galaxy's most famous bounty hunter and what to expect from the upcoming series. Temuera Morrison finally got the chance to don Boba's iconic armor in "The Mandalorian" Season 2, and his role in the series clearly impressed Lucasfilm as much as the fans. The spinoff series starts airing on December 29 and follows Boba and Fennec Shand (Ming Na Wen) as they take Jabba's Palace for themselves to become the new ruling crime lords on Tatooine.

Although the first footage didn't reveal too much, it's clear that Boba is going to take a different approach in the "Star Wars" underworld — as he tries to convince various criminal factions to work together. Fans were pleased to see Boba meet a number of classic aliens in the trailer, as Trandoshans, Twi'leks, the Aqualish, Klatooinians, and an Ithorian all briefly show up in the footage. Although it didn't seem like many of them are interested in his proposition. It also isn't clear who or what the main threat of the series will be, leading many to theorize about what lies ahead for Boba Fett.

But some fans think a character from 2018's "Solo: A Star Wars Story" might be the main villain in "The Book of Boba Fett."

Qi'ra and Crimson Dawn could return

One of the biggest characters in "Solo: A Star Wars Story" is Han Solo's former love interest Qi'ra (Emilia Clarke) after she's worked her way up into the Crimson Dawn criminal syndicate. The group isn't just a street-level group of gunslingers, it's a high-functioning organization with considerable power and influence throughout the galaxy. The ending of "Solo" also reveals that Darth Maul (Ray Park) is secretly running the entire operation, and Qi'ra serves as his second-in-command. But because "The Book of Boba Fett" sees the bounty hunter try to unite all the criminal factions, some fans think he'll be up against Qi'ra and Crimson Dawn.

Reddit user u/TheMediocreCritic wrote, "Qi'ra is the perfect antagonist for Boba Fett. Both are orphans that have overcome incredible odds in a life riddled with trauma that has granted them no favors." There are definitely some similarities between the two, and it would be great to see Emilia Clarke return to the "Star Wars" universe to explore Qi'ra a little more. The Redditor went on to say, "This creates a compelling dynamic. Two characters, very much alike, fighting for the same thing."

At the moment, it's not clear whether Qi'ra and Crimson Dawn will show up in "The Book of Boba Fett," but hopefully, Disney and Lucasfilm are keeping most of the plot a secret. After all, fans didn't know what "The Mandalorian" was really about when the series first debuted in 2019. When asked about the possibility of returning to the role earlier this year, Clarke told Entertainment Tonight, "I have heard nothing. Absolutely nothing." Watch this space/galaxy.
