Millie Bobby Brown Wins Best Actor In A TV Show At MTV Awards

On a scale from one to ten, she's an 11.

During the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday (May 7), Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown won the award for Best Actor in a TV Show. Brown portrays the supernaturally skilled Eleven, otherwise known as Jane Ives, on the Duffer Brothers-created series that took the TV-watching world by storm last year.

The young starlet was up against some seriously talented actors in the genderless category, including the likes of Atlanta actor Donald Glover, Game of Thrones frontwoman Emilia Clarke, and the baseball bat-swinging Negan on The Walking Dead, Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Brown got teary-eyed as she gave her acceptance speech, thanking her co-stars Gaten Mazaratto, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, and Caleb McLaughlin, who've become her closest friends. She then turned her gratitude to the minds behind Stranger Things and the creators of her character, whom Brown called a "badass" female lead that stands apart from other girls on television today.

Brown's work on Stranger Things may have secured herself a big win at the MTV Awards, but she's far from finished showing off Eleven's psychokinetic prowess. The 13-year-old actress will reprise her role in the show's second season, set to release on Netflix on October 31, just in time for Halloween.
