Arrow EP Says 'We Might Lose Some People' In Season 5 Finale

Prometheus is nowhere near done wreaking havoc on Arrow. Shortly after releasing a sizzle reel for the last set of episodes for season five, executive producer Wendy Mericle is teasing the season finale, which she says could result in the demise of some of the team members we know and love. "Chase has been trying to prove to the world and to Oliver that he's not a hero, he's a killer, and he's going to pull out one final, big wham-o at the end that's going to leave Oliver reeling," Mericle told Entertainment Weekly. "We might lose some people."

The sizzle reel teased a defeated Oliver, who tells Prometheus that he's won and their fight is over. However, Chase isn't done with Oliver yet, questioning, "What did I ever say to give you that impression?" Prometheus' destructive plot will also have a ripple effect throughout the rest of the team, causing tension between Felicity, Diggle, and Oliver, in addition to providing the impetus to bring some pretty important characters back into the mix, including John Barrowman's Malcolm Merlyn and Katrina Law's Nyssa al Ghul. Also joining in for the chaos is Katie Cassidy's Black Siren, who will be a series regular next season. The most anticipated return, though, is Manu Bennett's Deathstroke, an old friend who Oliver visits on Lian Yu in the finale.

Arrow's season five finale will air on May 24 at 8 p.m. on The CW. While we wait with bated breath to see which of our faves may be headed to the grave, see how the show's characters should really look based on the comics.
