New Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 4 Sneak Peek Reunites Daryl With An Old Friend

In "Rendition," Episode 4 of "The Walking Dead' Season 11, which is currently available to stream on AMC+ ahead of its official premiere on October 12, Daryl (Norman Reedus) will reunite with an old friend. We know thism because the official synopsis tells us: "Daryl and Dog get captured by the Reapers and are taken to the Meridian and reconnect with someone" (Via ComicBook.com).

AMC released a sneak peek at the episode, which shows Daryl and Dog encountering this not-so-secret someone. In the clip, Daryl covers himself in walker viscera in order to pass through a wooded area undetected by zombies. As he's walking, a Reaper in a red-and-white mask is furtively moving though some nearby ruins. She hears something coming, and she reacts with stunned recognition when she sees it's Dog, who seems to be picking up a scent.

Daryl is not far behind, but far enough that he can't see Dog, and when he hears Dog barking, he runs after him. He finds him sitting peacefully next to the masked Reaper, who's standing there waiting for Daryl. The clip ends before we see her face or hear her voice, but this Reaper is obviously Leah (Lynn Collins), Dog's previous owner who could also be described as Daryl's ex-girlfriend.

This Reaper could only be one person

Leah was introduced in the Season 10 episode "Find Me." Daryl met her and Dog during the time he spent living in the woods by himself looking for Rick (Andrew Lincoln) after his brother from another mother disappeared. They bonded and were as together as two broken loners can be for awhile, but they split up after Leah gave him an ultimatum about searching for Rick. He eventually went back to her cabin to try to make amends, but she was gone.

It seems that in the intervening years she got linked up with the brutal Reapers. Now she and Daryl are finding each other once again, only this time they're truly on opposite sides of the fight. Daryl and Leah's storyline bears some similarities to Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Sherry's (Christine Evangelista) on "Fear the Walking Dead." Sherry left Dwight and when he finally found her, she had joined a weird group of masked aggressors. We all know how that one ended.

We'll see how Daryl and Leah react to their reunion in the episode, but it seems unlikely that Leah will be happy to see him.
