Alison Brie And Aubrey Plaza Are Cursing Nuns In NSFW The Little Hours Trailer

Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza aren't like most nuns in the new red band trailer for their upcoming comedy The Little Hours.

Written and directed by Jeff Baena (I Heart Huckabees), the film follows Brie, Plaza, Kate Miccuci, and Molly Shannon as four nuns whose foul language, promiscuity, and general awfulness make them a lightning rod for controversy at their convent.

The very NSFW trailer for the movie starts out with calm music and shots of fields of grass, clearly meant to trick us into thinking we're watching a religious drama. However, it quickly moves into the real story of the film, with Plaza and Miccuci's nuns responding in a vulgar manner when told good morning by a passing farmer.

It then shows Fred Armisen as a priest who reads them their many, many sins, interspersed with clips of their very non-nun-like lives, much of which involves the frequently accosted Dave Franco. The trailer also shows John C. Reilly playing the straight man to the utter ridiculousness of the rest of the cast, and gives a quick glimpse at a long-haired, very unhappy Nick Offerman.

The Little Hours, which also stars Jon Gabrus, Jemima Kirke, Adam Pally, Paul Reiser, Lauren Weedman, and Paul Weitz, is due out June 30. While we wait, prep your summer schedule by penciling in all of the other movies that will blow you away in the next few months.
