New Ghost In The Shell Trailer, Website Unveiled

Paramount Pictures has released another trailer for Ghost in the Shell, one that pulls fans into the protagonist's point of view and plugs an all-new website.

Entitled "I Am Major," the latest look at the upcoming manga-adapted film shows that cybernetic human Major Motoko Kusanagi is both hunted and the hunter, but it also asks viewers who they are, too.

This question links to the aforementioned film-centered site, IAmMajor.me, where Ghost in the Shell hopefuls can share themselves, their uniqueness, and the traits that make their personality shine with others. While it appears to be a pretty clever marketing campaign for the much-talked-about film, some have stated that there's a design flaw tucked into IAmMajor.me: anyone with access to the site can create self-made content using Paramount's logo.

Additionally, since there has been some controversy over the film, particularly the discussion that it has whitewashed its characters, the freedom given to fans with this new site has resurfaced some of that.

The full synopsis for Ghost in the Shell can be found below:

"Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, Ghost in the Shell follows Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9.
