2017 New Movie Releases That You Don't Want To Miss
2017 is shaping up to be a great year for movies, with a ton of great films already on the schedule. In fact, so many different movies are coming out in such a short period of time, you might need some help keeping all the release dates straight. To that end, we've prepared a guide to give you a hand sorting out which movies you'll want to plan on seeing in theaters each month. Some of these dates and titles may be subject to change (particularly for TBD titles), but keep checking back—we'll be sure to update you with the newest information.
January 2017 Movie Releases
January starts 2017 out with a bang. Fans of the xXx, Underworld, and Resident Evil franchises can look forward to new installments this month, and for our friends in the U.K., there's even the long-awaited Trainspotting sequel.

February 2017 Movie Releases
The action heats up in February, with the his-and-hers sequel combo of Fifty Shades Darker and John Wick: Chapter Two both arriving on the 10th. You'll definitely want to clear your schedule for The Lego Batman Movie—and comedy fans should also schedule a trip to the theater for Fist Fight, starring Ice Cube and Charlie Day.

Perhaps not quite as family-friendly: Dwayne Johnson's big-screen adaptation of the long-running beach jiggle series Baywatch.

June 2017 Movie Releases
The summer blockbuster schedule opens up in earnest come June, with the long-awaited Wonder Woman dropping two days into the month. Follow that action up with World War Z 2 and Transformers: The Last Knight, and you'll easily fill your monthly quota of explosions, battles, and chase scenes. Take the kids to see Cars 3 and Despicable Me 3 screenings in between as a palate cleanser, and you should be all set.

September marks the start of scary movie season, and this year won't disappoint with a highly-anticipated remake of Stephen King's psychopathic clown story IT, which hits the big screen on September 8. Leave the kids at home for that one, but make it up to them a couple weeks later when animated series Ninjago gets its own big-screen adventure.

It may be getting cold outside, but theaters will heat up in November when Thor: Ragnarok arrives on November 3. Follow that up with Justice League and Murder on the Orient Express, and you should have an action-packed Thanksgiving! (Less exciting, but no doubt better for the wee ones: the follow-up to 2015's critically lauded Paddington.)
