Today, Paramount Pictures has kicked it up a notch, releasing a trio of television spots showing more sneak peeks at the cyber-punk cyborg flick.
Entitled "The Fog of Memory," the first of the three clips features Scarlett Johansson as the titular Ghost in the Shell, Major Motoko Kusanagi, learning what happened to her after a mysterious and menacing attack. The Major becomes a synthetic full-body prosthesis, essentially an augmented human-robot blend, and is intended for use as a government weapon.
The first clip also gives fans a glimpse at Juliette Binoche as Dr. Ouelet, who fills Johansson's character in and pushes her forward toward a possible redemption. After all, as the spot says, they didn't save the Major's life, they stole it.
