New Beauty And The Beast Clip Shows Belle Meeting Lumiere

Disney is inching closer and closer to relaying the tale as old as time in the upcoming Beauty and the Beast live-action film. And as the days until release dwindle down, additional sneak peeks at what fans can expect in the unlikely romance retelling have started to roll out. Today, fans got an especially fun treat: a clip showing Belle and Lumiere finally meeting.

The titular Beauty gets acquainted with the tiny, talking candelabra in the latest Beauty and the Beast sneak peek, and the introduction is quite different from Belle's first run-in with the Beast. Thankfully for Belle, the anthropomorphized kitchenware staff is much kinder. Also meeting for the first time are Belle and the cutesy clock, Cogsworth, who proves just as sweet as Lumiere.

Golden Globe nominee Ewan McGregor takes on the role of the fantastically French Lumiere, and Oscar nominee (and everyone's favorite X-Man) Ian McKellen plays Cogsworth. However, as evidenced in the video, Belle is still a little hesitant around the pair.

This newest glimpse at the upcoming film follows hot off the heels of a few other teases like Josh Gad and Luke Evans (as the goofy LeFou and brutish bad boy Gaston, respectively) singing a super-recognizable song, and one showing Belle attempting to escape Beast's castle. This clip originally debuted on the Oh My Disney Show, hosted by actress Alexys Gabrielle.

Beauty and the Beast releases on March 17, and stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts.
