Alien: Covenant Red-Band Trailer Has More Tension, More Blood
If you like for your movie trailers to be violent and filled with curse words, red-band trailers are the way to go.
Fox released a new, slightly NSFW version of the first trailer for Ridley Scott's upcoming Alien prequel, Alien: Covenant, and it might be our most satisfying glimpse yet. Watch it above.
There are basically two new scenes included. The first comes after the initial attack by the Neomorph and shows a skinned humanoid posed in a strange position. The second new scene comes after we see a hooded character raise a gun. It shows Callie Hernandez in the shower covered in blood.
The movie, a sequel to Prometheus, follows the crew of the colony ship Covenant, including Katherine Waterston as Daniels, Michael Fassbender as two different android characters in the film, and Danny McBride in a Danny McBride-type role.
In addition to the trailers, Fox unveiled a four-minute prologue to the movie, which features our first look at surprise cast member James Franco as the captain of the ship. However, it looks a lot like Franco's character doesn't last long.
The movie opens May 19. It's definitely one of the movies we can't wait to see this year.
