My Entire High School Sinking Into The Sea Trailer Released
High school is painful enough without any natural disasters that prompt apocalyptic scenarios.
A trailer has arrived for My Entire High School Sinking into the Sea, the quirky animated flick that became a fan favorite at last year's Toronto Film Festival. Written and directed by Dash Shaw, the movie stars Jason Schwartzman as an average sophomore (also named Dash) who struggles to find safety when parts of his school begin to fall into the earth. The film also features Maya Rudolph, Reggie Watts, Lena Dunham, John Cameron Mitchell, and Susan Sarandon.
But the real star of the show is the animation, which looks simultaneously crude, surreal, and postmodern. While it all seems like a hand drawing come to life, it's deceptively complex with each frame more like a work of moving art.
The film arrives in theaters April 14. Meanwhile, check out some kids shows that would make amazing movies.
