Emma Watson Is Being Watched In New The Circle Trailer

Emma Watson's dream job is not working out the way she planned in the new The Circle trailer.

In the upcoming thriller, Watson plays Mae Holland, a new employee at the Apple-esque tech firm The Circle. Run by Tom Hanks' Eamon Bailey, The Circle is an all-knowing, all-seeing company with cameras all over the world that aims to answer the question, "Do you behave better or worse when you are being watched?"

In the new trailer for the movie, which is based on the Dave Eggers novel of the same name, Mae is ecstatic to land a job at The Circle, only to find that the company has a creepy amount of knowledge about her personal life– and everyone else's.

At the end of the trailer, John Boyega's Kalden shows Mae exactly how bad The Circle can be, bringing her to the room where all of the information the company records is stored and analyzed to be used "however they see fit, no matter what it's cost."

The trailer ends with creepy words from Bailey: "Knowing is good, but knowing everything is better."

The eerie thriller also stars Patton Oswalt, Karen Gillan, and Bill Paxton. Written and directed by The Spectacular Now's James Ponsoldt, the film is due out on April 28. While we wait, read up on the other new movies being released this year that you won't want to miss.
