Chris Pratt Wants Star-Lord To Meet Punisher In Avengers: Infinity War

Chris Pratt has an idea for a truly stellar crossover.

It's no secret (thanks to Vin Diesel via ScreenRant) that Guardians of the Galaxy and Pratt's character Peter Quill (a.k.a. Star-Lord) will help battle Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War. But during an interview while promoting The Magnificent Seven, Pratt was asked which member of the Avengers he'd most like to see his character team up with in the Marvel flick.

While he chooses his words carefully and refrains from giving away too much, Pratt comes up with a non-Avenger: the Punisher. He acknowledges that the Marvel vigilante probably isn't eligible for Infinity War, but Pratt says the character was his favorite as a kid.

Punisher hasn't appeared in any of the MCU movies, but Jon Bernthal debuted as the character on the Daredevil series. Marvel confirmed he'll also get his own Netflix show.

Although, as ScreenCrush points out, there's probably little chance Punisher will show up in the Disney-produced Avengers films, it would definitely be fun to watch him talk shop with Star-Lord.

Avengers: Infinity War is set for release May 4, 2018, but we'll get Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 just about a year to the day before that on May 5, 2017. If you aren't adequately excited for James Gunn's sequel, Pratt told the Toronto Sun that it will be "the biggest movie spectacle of all time."
