Stranger Things Soundtrack Coming To Vinyl
Now you can get lost in the '80s sounds of Stranger Things the way Jonathan Byers would want you to.
Pitchfork reports the first volume of music from Season 1 will be released on vinyl this fall. Although there are two volumes already available to stream, only Vol. 1 will be released on CD format on Oct. 28, followed by the vinyl version on Nov. 11.
And while the Duffer Brothers peppered a lot of hits from the '80s into Season 1, the official soundtrack just includes the synthesizer score by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, members of the Austin-based S U R V I V E.
The double LP comes in a gatefold sleeve that includes a printed insert with the album credits and additional art. Pitchfork says color variant pressings will also be available, along with a limited edition 4XLP box set once Vol. 2 is released, too.
Netflix recently renewed the series for a second season, and the Duffer Brothers already have big plans. Check out descriptions for three new characters we'll meet when the show returns next year.
