Guile might not last long in the World Warrior Tournament, but he wastes no time establishing himself as one of the most important supporting characters in the 2026 "Street Fighter" movie. The man with the most impressive flattop haircut in the combat business juggles his comic relief duty with a de facto narrator role. He helps decipher some of the more confusing moments in "Street Fighter," since he's acquainted with most of the other fighters and can offer introductions and exposition as needed.

The ending of "Street Fighter" also confirms that he and his unbothered yogi buddy Dhalsim (Vidyut Jammwal) are hot on M. Bison's (David Dastmalchian) heels, only stopping to cram the other protagonists into Guile's cool car — which, incidentally, is just one of the many fun "Street Fighter" Easter eggs only true fans notice.

In one of the many neat stunt-casting decisions in "Street Fighter," Guile is played by Cody Rhodes, a man who is not yet as accomplished a traditional screen actor as many of his castmates. However, he has definitely been on TV more than most of his new peers. Let's find out where you have seen Rhodes before.

As a pro wrestler, Cody Rhodes knows how to be in front of a camera

Cody Rhodes is a pro wrestler and an actor who is most famous for his tenure as a high-profile superstar in WWE. He has also worked in many other promotions (that's the banner term for wrestling organizations) from AEW to New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor. He's just one of several wrestlers in the "Street Fighter" cast, actually. Joe "Roman Reigns" Anoa'i, who plays Akuma, is a fellow WWE superstar who has a history with Rhodes in the ring, though Rhodes, who started his career in 2006, has a little more experience. Hirooki Goto, who plays E. Honda, is also a wrestler, plying his trade in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Rhodes' WWE role alone means that he's appeared in hundreds of televised episodes of "WWE Raw" and "WWE Smackdown," along with numerous other franchise-adjacent shows and special events. While his day job makes up the majority of his on-screen experience to date, Rhodes has also begun acting in a more conventional fashion. You might remember him from his recurring role as Derek Sampson on "Arrow," his 2010 turn as Kurt Smoller on the sci-fi thriller "Warehouse 13," or his excellent cameo as a bartender in the 2025 "The Naked Gun" reboot.
