All 18 Street Fighter Movie Characters Explained

Legendary fighting game franchise "Street Fighter" is returning to live action with a vengeance in 2026. The games have been going on for a long, long time, so there are dozens of fighters who have taken the World Warrior route over the years. It's not exactly shocking that the "Street Fighter" movie is set to feature some of the franchise's most familiar faces. For instance, it would be an outright travesty to skip long-time franchise main character Ryu (Andrew Koji), or his fellow Ansatsuken practitioner Ken Masters (Noah Centineo). Fans would also likely revolt if the film even considered skipping the legendary Interpol officer and kick expert Chun-Li (Callina Liang). Likewise, the franchise's overall big bad, M. Bison (David Dastmalchian), is an obvious selection. However, some of the lesser-known fighters that the movie has opted to include might very well intrigue a fan.

Even a casual "Street Fighter" fan knows all about classic characters like Guile (Cody Rhodes), Blanka (Jason Momoa), Zangief (Olivier Richters), E. Honda (Hirooki Goto), and Dhalsim (Vidyut Jammwal) — as well as M. Bison's original "Street Fighter II" henchmen Vega (Orville Peck) and Balrog (50 Cent). However, the "Street Fighter" movie also features a laundry list of talent from the later games, ranging from relative franchise veteran and "Super Street Fighter II" debutant Cammy White (Mel Jarnson) to legitimately surprising inclusions like Juli (Rayna Valladingham), Dan Hibiki (Andrew Schultz), Joe (Alexander Volkanovski), and Don Sauvage (Eric André). Even the franchise's resident outsider monster Akuma (Roman Reigns) joins the fray.

The last live-action adaptation of "Street Fighter" was the infamous 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme movie, which gave us a committed and scenery-chewing M. Bison turn by Raul Julia. On the whole, however, it's a movie that we regret watching – but the trailer for the 2026 "Street Fighter movie still pays tribute to it with a nice Easter egg.
