Suicide Squad: Get To Know Deadshot In New Promo Video

The theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air neatly condensed the life story of Will Smith's character into 68 seconds, and the role he plays in Suicide Squad is slightly more complex. But a new extended promo from Warner Bros. gives us a quick rundown on Deadshot despite no mention of where he was born and raised.

Looks like Arkham Asylum is where the Floyd Lawton (aka Deadshot) spent most of his days, and the promo notes that the assassin-for-hire is "deadly at 4,000 meters." The video also spotlights Deadshot's relationship with Suicide Squad field leader Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman). One important tidbit: only Deadpool's friends can call him Floyd.

We also recently learned all about Amanda Waller (played by Viola Davis) in a similar promo. David Ayers' Suicide Squad drops Aug. 5.
