How To Watch The 2019 Emmy Awards
The 2019 Emmy Awards kick off today — Sunday, September 22. Anyone who's anyone in Hollywood is attending the ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California — and anyone who's a fan of the many television series, actors and actresses, and creatives up for the illustrious awards this evening will be tuning into the festivities from the comfort of their own home. Though the Primetime Emmys are going hostless this year, which will allow for a snappier ceremony and more time to honor the television shows that have been nominated, the evening is sure to be spectacular and certainly not one to miss.
Here's how to watch the 2019 Emmy Awards on TV, online, and internationally.
Tune in on Fox
Last year's Emmy Awards aired on NBC, but this year, the telecast will air on Fox. The 71st annual Emmys will officially begin at 8 PM ET (5 PM PT for all the west-coasters out there), with the pre-show event Fox's Live Emmy Red Carpet Arrivals kicking off at 7 PM ET (4 PM PT). Those who have cable can watch the Emmys through local Fox affiliates, a full list of which Fox has on its website.
Additionally, you can watch the Emmys on Fox.com or via the Fox NOW app — available for laptops, mobile devices, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, and Roku. Both Fox.com and Fox NOW require authentication, so you must have an eligible cable login to view the 2019 Primetime Emmys using either of the two options.
How to watch the Emmys online
As it turns out, there are many ways you can catch the 2019 Emmys even if you've cut the cable cord. Those without a cable subscription who are interested in tuning into this year's Emmy Awards can do so on a laptop, mobile device, or streaming device attached to a television (such as Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV) through AT&T TV Now, Hulu's Live TV, fuboTV, YouTube TV, Sling TV, and PlayStation Vue.
One important thing to note: If you sign up for a free trial of one of these streaming sites solely to watch this year's Emmys, remember to cancel, lest you be left paying for a subscription you didn't want to keep.
