Impractical Jokers S10: Q & Post Malone Were Almost Arrested For Car Stunt

TruTv's "Impractical Jokers" is will known for concocting some of the most elaborate (and painfully embarrassing) pranks on television, almost always at the expense of the titular "jokers" Sal Vulcano, James "Murr" Murray, and Brian "Q" Quinn, and former cast member Joe Gatto. These pranks usually force one of the jokers into an awkward or ridiculous social situation while being fed instructions via a hidden earpiece, often at the expense of the general public.

Although most of these pranks (including the one where Murr legally married Sal's sister) don't have any long-lasting consequences, one Season 10 skit involving Post Malone and Q almost cost the jokers some real-life jail time after they ran into the New York City Police Department. This happened during a prank that involved Q and Post posing as parking attendants at Little Man Parking, and subsequently taking the blame for whatever the musician has allegedly done to the customers' cars.

According to The New York Times, one particular customer was so upset with this prank that they actually called the police on Q and Post — though the situation was quickly defused when the cops recognized Q, having been fans of "Impractical Jokers" themselves. Though no charges ever came from this incident, it's safe to say that the team was lucky to run into cops who knew their track record as pranksters.

The team has had pranks go awry before

This particular skit is currently available on TruTv's official YouTube channel, though unfortunately, we don't get to witness the police arriving in the aftermath of this prank. Per the aforementioned New York Times article, the angry customer who called the police was actually very apologetic once he realized that they were on a prank show, with Brian Quinn himself saying, "he had a very generous attitude about it once we told him what was going on."

Although not every prank ends with the cops being called on Q and the rest of the jokers, it's safe to say they've had plenty of episodes go off the rails when their targets aren't too keen on the prank. In one infamous prank gone wrong, which Sal Vulcano recounted fondly during an appearance on "Hot Ones"), Sal cut in front of an elderly war veteran who was buying Broadway tickets. The veteran then proceeded to grab and strangle Sal right there in line. Like the Post Malone incident, this strangling obviously never made it on air, though it shows the unexpected consequences that can occur when the "Impractical Jokers" crew messes with the wrong person.
