Who Played Travis Brenner On Chicago Fire?

For 11 seasons, "Chicago Fire" has told the story of firefighters, paramedics, and rescue personnel both in and out of uniform in the Windy City. Primarily set around the fictional Firehouse 51, each episode explores the heroic actions of the men and women who risk their lives each day by responding to fires and emergencies in Chicago, Illinois. While most characters on the show are selfless, some characters occasionally make an appearance to remind viewers not everyone is as altruistic as the likes of Lieutenant Severide (Taylor Kinney).

Take, for example Travis Brenner (Scott Elrod). During a three-episode arc in Season 5, Brenner was introduced in the episode "The Hose or the Animal" when a guest at a party he threw got stuck on a telephone pole and needed rescue. It's also revealed he cares more about image than the safety of his guests. While Brenner is no longer on the show, his actor may look familiar to some.

Elrod has played a versatile range of characters

Prior to landing on "Chicago Fire," actor Scott Elrod played numerous recurring characters on popular TV series, such as "Grey's Anatomy" and "Men in Trees." In the former, Elrod played Dr. William Thorpe. An Army surgeon, Dr. Thorpe was the first man Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) dated following the death of her longtime love interest Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey). The two didn't last beyond a third date, and although he told Meredith he'd wait until she was ready to make a commitment, Dr. Thorpe was never seen again.

Following his brief stint on "Chicago Fire," Elrod appeared in the TV movie "Sun, Sand & Romance" on The Hallmark Channel and had a supporting role in the independent action film "Atone," co-starring Robert Rusler.

According to his IMDb profile, Elrod hasn't appeared in any acting roles since. His Instagram profile reveals he seems to have shifted gears. He currently acts as CEO of Auto Concierge, which manages vehicles as assets for their clients.
