Sal Avoids Standing Next To Murr On Impractical Jokers Because Of His Shoes

"Impractical Jokers" is a show that thrives on painfully uncomfortable situations, forcing its titular 'jokers' (Sal Vulcano, James "Murr" Murray, Brian "Q" Quinn, and Joe Gatto) into a wide variety of embarrassing public dares. If they fail, the Joker is punished, and some punishments are too painful for fans too watch. One joker will perform these excruciating, cringeworthy dares while following the instructions of their fellow jokers, who communicate via a hidden earpiece and watch the scene unfold through hidden cameras.

Some eagle-eyed fans of "Impractical Jokers" might have noticed an odd trend occurring whenever Murr and Sal are giving instructions together. Sal refuses to stand next to Murr unless necessary.

In a web chat from 2017, Gatto explained Sal always avoids standing next to Murr because he goes out of his way to step on Sal shoes. The video then plays a montage of clips showing that Sal always stands beside the other two jokers whenever possible.

Hilariously, this trend has caused a problem for the other two jokers as well. Sal has the unfortunate tendency to fall down laughing whenever he's watching from behind the scenes.

Murr's shoe-stepping problem creates unintended issues for the other jokers

James "Murr" Murray's irritating habit to step on Sal Vulcano's toes has had a significant impact on Sal, so much so that he's gone out of his way to avoid him at any possible moment. It's also had a direct impact on the lives of Brian "Q" Quinn and Joe Gatto as they're now the ones forced to dodge Sal whenever he falls over laughing.

Longtime "Impractical Jokers" fans know that whenever a certain prank gets to Sal, he tends to temporarily lose function of his legs, collapsing either against his fellow co-hosts or the background decor. Gatto said as much in the web chat and included a short clip of Sal collapsing under the weight of his own laughter, subsequently bumping into Q and shattering a glass mirror.

It's hilarious that Murr's insistence on stepping on Sal's shoes has led to a new annoying trend for the other jokers. Now, everyone has to watch out for their surroundings when around Sal. In any case, fans ought to keep an eye out in the next episode of "Impractical Jokers" to see where Sal is standing behind the scenes.
