Deadpool Is Everywhere In This Fan-Made Avengers: Infinity War Trailer
Deadpool may have been an Avenger at one point, but you won't see him in the upcoming Marvel mega-crossover Avengers: Infinity War this April — at least, not officially.
A new fan trailer has been making the rounds on the internet over the last couple of days, and it's got comic book movie fans everywhere saying "Avengers/Deadpool crossover when?"
The trailer, taking video straight from the Avengers: Infinity War trailer, isn't designed to imagine what the movie would look like if Deadpool was in it — it's designed to imagine what the movie would look like if Deadpool was everyone in it. Check it out for yourself up above.
The video was put together by Saruhan Saral, a graphic design student who works on YouTube under the name Mightyraccoon! He shared the edit under the title "Infinity War trailer but everybody is DEADPOOL", and the video has since gone on to accrue over 223,000 views over the course of just a couple of days, so far.
The NSFW trailer features Deadpool as Thanos, Deadpool as Cap, Deadpool as Star-Lord, Iron Man, Spider-Man — even Deadpool as Black Widow. Everybody is Deadpool. This video does what it says on the tin.
We're quietly dreaming of a future where this could really happen, with the fallout from the Disney-Fox merger set to make, uh, ambitious crossovers like this something that's actually in the realm of possibility. Whether Marvel Studios would officially go so far with their crossover as this trailer does is somewhat doubtful, but hey, if people like it, anything can happen, right?
The actual Avengers: Infinity War, which doesn't really look as entertaining as it used to now, will be released in theaters worldwide on April 25.
Deadpool's next studio-sanctioned adventure, Deadpool 2, is set for release on May 18. You can check out the already-pretty-meta trailer for that feature right here.
