Here's Where You Can Stream The Holiday This Holiday Season

Rom-coms are still attempting a comeback at the box office but, in the meantime, there are some standouts from the past that audiences revisit on a yearly basis. Nancy Meyers' "The Holiday" fits nicely into that category. The comedy sees two women decide on a unique way to spend the holiday season — they swap houses. Switching homes transplants one woman in Los Angeles and the other in Surrey, and what follows is a fun look at finding love in the most unexpected of places, showing that everyone can learn from past heartbreaks.

The film highlights the talents of stars Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, and Jude Law — each impressive in their own right. Years after its release, fans have clamored for a sequel to bring the characters together again. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be a reality; both Meyers and Winslet have gone on record shooting down rumors of a sequel (via People). While there may not be another chapter in the story, the original film still holds up well among Meyers' most popular films.

Here's where to stream "The Holiday."

Most streaming options include rental or purchase options

Viewers looking for "The Holiday" on their favorite streaming services have some limited options. Hulu is the only streaming service to feature the film, and that is only through its Live TV packages. The film is also a part of TBS and TNT seasonal programming schedules; these channels are available through services such as Sling TV. Furthermore, subscriptions including one or both of these channels may include on-demand options, which may include commercial breaks that accompany the live airings. Another alternative to on-demand selections is optional packages with DVR provided for scheduled programming, including films.

Other sources offer the film for rental or purchase during the 2022 holiday season. Vudu, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Google Play Movies & TV, Apple TV, and Redbox all have "The Holiday" listed. Prices vary between rental and purchase options — each service's price may change without notice. Keep an eye out for deals or sales that could bring those numbers down. As always, terms and conditions apply with any purchase.
