Dwayne Johnson Takes A Leap Of Faith In Skyscraper Poster
Dwayne Johnson is heading straight into danger in the first poster for his upcoming action extravaganza Skyscraper. The movie will feature the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor as a war veteran and former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader who is tasked with assessing security for skyscrapers.
While on assignment in China, Johnson's character finds that the tallest, safest building in the world has been set ablaze– and people think he did it. To make matters even worse, his family is trapped inside the building above the fire line. A wanted man, Johnson's character must go on the run while he hunts down those responsible and clears his name.
Marketing for Skyscraper has been ramping up, with the movie getting an ominous teaser ahead of the full trailer debut during the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 4. Johnson has been pumping people up for the film for a while now, and recently praised the movie on Instagram for being "an original concept of an idea... a film not based off a franchise, book, ride or existing brand."
Neve Campbell, Pablo Schreiber, Noah Taylor, Chin Han, Byron Mann, Roland Moller, and Hannah Quinlivan are also set to star in Skyscraper, which is written and directed by Central Intelligence's Rawson Marshall Thurber. Johnson will produce alongside Thurber and Beau Flynn (Requiem for a Dream). Dany Garcia (Baywatch) and Hiram Garcia (Furious 7) will executive produce, while Wendy Jacobson (San Andreas) co-produces.
Skyscraper hits theaters on July 13.
