Questions Arise Over The Whereabouts Of Gabe's Wife On Alaskan Bush People

Like most non-competition reality shows, "Alaskan Bush People" is a documentary-style TV series that revolves around a group of people living a life with which the majority of its audience was likely unfamiliar prior to viewing. Specifically, the subjects of "Alaskan Bush People" are various members of the Brown family, who live and survive in what is more-or-less the wilderness.

While what's shown on screen is subject to the sorts of behind-the-scenes manipulations standard for the genre, plenty of real-life drama nevertheless factors into the goings-on of "Alaskan Bush People." For example, "Alaskan Bush People" fans rallied around Snowbird "Bird" Brown after she underwent a serious health scare in the Season 14 premiere. Earlier, Matt Brown left "Alaskan Bush People" once Season 9 concluded in order to enter into treatment for his alcoholism.

Furthermore, late patriarch Billy Brown's son Gabe publicly married his partner Raquell Rose Pantilla in 2019 — however, Raquell has remained entirely absent from recent episodes of "Alaskan Bush People," leading some viewers to inquire into her whereabouts and the status of her marriage to Gabe.

Starting in 2020, "Alaskan Bush People" viewers began to publicly question Raquell's whereabouts based on her absence from the series. A Reddit thread one user started in January of 2020, for example, notes her lack of screen time in Season 11 and asks other users if they know why she no longer seems to be a part of the show. More than a year later, another Reddit user started a thread similarly noting Raquell's absence and questioning the strength of her relationship with Gabe.

As it turns out, Raquell has addressed such inquiries on her personal Instagram account. In one post from October of 2021, Raquell shared that she and Gabe became parents to two children, and provided an update on her "Alaskan Bush People" status. "As many of you have noticed, I take my privacy and my children's privacy very seriously. You may not see us around as often as you do with Gabe, none the less we're still here. We continue to ask for our privacy from the public eye," Raquell wrote.

As recently as Valentine's Day, 2022, Raquell shared a post commemorating her marriage to Gabe, further confirming that the couple seems to be in good standing. So, while Raquell may be absent from the series, it appears to be entirely of her own volition, and not reflective of issues in her and/or Gabe's personal lives.
