Justice League Blu-Ray Won't Have Zack Snyder Director's Cut
If there really is a Zack Snyder director's cut of Justice League (and there probably isn't), it won't be on the upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release.
Warner Bros. revealed details and the artwork for the Blu-ray, and there's no mention of anything that resembles a complete version directed entirely by Zack Snyder. In fact, there's no director's commentary, no extended cut at all, and only one deleted scene on the Walmart-exclusive Blu-ray.
Snyder, who also helmed Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, was the original director of Justice League, but he stepped away in the middle of production after a family tragedy. The Avengers director Joss Whedon took over and completed the reshoots, making for a movie that feels noticeably disjointed.
Since the underwhelming response to Justice League, fans have been begging to see Snyder's complete vision for the movie. More than 168,000 people signed an online petition asking Warner Bros. to include his cut on the home video release. However, it's highly unlikely that such a version exists. Snyder only turned in a rough cut of the movie when he left and the visual effects weren't finished. Even if his cut did exist, the studio probably wouldn't want to show what could have been.
Here's what to expect on the Blu-ray and DVD, which hit stores on March 13. The Digital HD version goes on sale Feb. 13.
