As the film industry cranks out sequels, reboots, and re-imaginings, it should be crystal clear to one and all that nothing is sacred these days. Irrefutable proof of that fact is “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” an upcoming adaptation that finds horror-loving filmmakers taking full advantage of the "Pooh" back catalog which recently hit the Public Domain.
This twisted take on the beloved family-friendly source material pits Pooh Bear and his once pint-sized pal Piglet as feral monsters on a blood-thirsty rampage. When the film was announced it understandably created a large amount of morbid curiosity from slasher lovers, and that curiosity has now peaked with the arrival of the film's first official, and childhood-slaying, trailer.
The first glimpses of this gruesome film will no doubt turn a few heads, and probably a few stomachs as well. It also leaves zero doubt as to exactly what "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey" is.
