Why The Frasier Reboot’s Eve Looks Familiar

The first episode of the “Frasier” reboot reveals that Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott) lives with his friend Eve (Jess Salgueiro). Salgueiro has appeared on many popular TV shows.
Salgueiro played the stern babysitter Renya, nicknamed “Mean Nanny,” in 12 episodes of “Workin’ Moms,” which aired on CBC Television in Salgueiro’s native Canada.
Salgueiro played hockey player Mary-Anne on the Canadian sitcom “Letterkenny.” She told Popternative that she and Kelly McCormack, who played Betty-Anne, had a fun rapport on set.
In the first episode of the superhero show “The Boys,” Salguiero plays Robin Ward, the girlfriend of Hughie (Jack Quaid). Her character’s death serves as Hughie’s call to action.
In the “The Expanse,” Salgueiro portrayed Chandra Wei, who has an amorous entanglement with Amos Burton (Wes Chatham). “I loved playing Chandra Wei,” she told The Fearless Nomad.
In “Tiny Pretty Things,” Salgueiro played a former soldier turned Chicago cop investigating the case of a top dancer whose fall from a school roof may have been due to foul play.
Salgueiro said of Chandra to Geek Hard, “She had a hard go of it for sure. She was a dark character.” Salgueiro also worked on television shows such as “Y: The Last Man” and “Sip.”
