It may surprise you that Daniel Kyri, who plays fan-favorite Daniel Ritter on “Chicago Fire,” made his TV debut on the controversial reality show “Kid Nation.” The show brought a group of kids together to build their own town without adult supervision, which Kyri played a prominent role in, eventually becoming a member of the town council.

Some may recognize Taylor Kinney, who plays Kelly "Sev" Severide in “Chicago Fire,” as Mason Lockwood from Season 2 of The CW's "The Vampire Diaries." Mason quickly became one of the most memorable parts of Season 2 due to the charm that Kinney brought to the character, which made his departure from the show tragic for fans and Kinney alike.

Cast as Chief Wallace Boden on “Chicago Fire,” Eamonn Walker is recognizable because of his role as Muslim Black nationalist prisoner Kareem Said on HBO’s “Oz.” Walker brought a strong stoic demeanor to Said and expertly evoked his contradictory morality to create a complex and compelling entity, making his breakout performance on “Oz” unforgettable.

Monica Raymund, who played the rebellious Gabriela Dawson, left “Chicago Fire” in Season 6 so she could prepare to star in Starz’s “Hightown.” In “Hightown,” Raymund leads her own series for the first time as federal agent Jackie Quinones, looking into drug trafficking cases in Cape Cod.

Jesse Spencer, who played Matthew Casey on “Chicago Fire,” departed from the show last season, as Spencer has decided to take a break from acting after 18 years. Early in his long career, Spencer played Dr. Robert Chase on "House M.D.," a sort of well-meaning antagonist for House and a prevalent part of the series throughout its eight seasons.
