Why The AT&T Commercial Girl Is Hiding Her Body In Latest NCAA Ad

By KATHERINE WEBB

Since 2013, Milana Vayntrub has played the quirky and resourceful Lily Adams in over 40 TV spots for AT&T. Recently, Lily was seen in a March Madness ad standing behind a desk instead of roaming around the store leading fans to wonder why if she was hiding her body.

Vayntrub took to Twitter to confirm that concealing her body was, in fact, her intentional choice as the director. She stated, in part, "It's because of the thousands of unwelcome comments I receive about my body. You've lost the privilege of looking at it until I feel safe again."

During an Instagram Live session, Vayntrub even read some inappropriate comments out loud to show her clear discomfort. AT&T has expressed their support for the actress, stating that they “disabled or deleted [inappropriate] comments on [their] social sites” and that they will “fight to support her and [their] values, which appreciate and respect all women.”
