Prime Video's new show "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" features a wide cast of characters, with some faces being more familiar than others. One character that may have audiences wondering where they know him from is the Dwarf prince Durin IV, played by Owain Arthur.
Arthur has had a few major TV roles before "The Rings of Power," which include the 2014 dry-witted miniseries "Babylon," where he plays a Territorial Support Group officer named Paul Norrington, or "Nobbo." In 2016, Arthur played the recurring character, Glen Thomas, the hospital porter, in the long-running medical drama "Casualty" for several seasons.
In the science fiction miniseries "Hard Sun" on Hulu, Arthur played Detective Sergeant Keith Greener, and in the crime drama "A Confession" the following year, he played Detective Inspector Sean Memory. The actor also played Castello, the security officer, in Disney's live-action film "The One and Only Ivan" in 2020.
Prior to "Rings of Power," Arthur's most significant parts outside of those already mentioned were in many smaller productions and as minor guest appearances. Arthur had one of his very first television roles in 2007 on "Doctors," and the actor has since made cameos on a number of different crime dramas, including "New Tricks" and "Death in Paradise."
