Portraying Mike Tyson on Hulu’s upcoming series “Mike” is Trevante Rhodes who landed his first major role in a recurring spot on OWN's "If Loving You Is Wrong" in 2015. Throughout the first two seasons of the show, he played Ramsey Walters, the attractive next-door neighbor of Edwina Findley’s Kelly Isaacs.

In 2016, Trevante Rhodes' performance as the adult version of Chiron in Barry Jenkins' "Moonlight" provided a kind of revelatory breakthrough performance witnessed only a handful of times each decade. "Moonlight" went on to win three Academy Awards, including a Best Picture win.

Trevante Rhodes' next big-screen project was the enormously popular 2018 Netflix movie "Bird Box." In the post-apocalyptic horror film, Rhodes played Tom, who would go on to become a long-lasting survivalist partner to Sandra Bullock’s Malorie Hayes in the race to outmaneuver dark, menacing beings.

In his most recent role, Rhodes plays FBI Agent Jimmy Fletcher, a man tasked with tracking every move legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday makes. Rhodes plays the ambivalence that Fletcher feels as a Black FBI agent pigeonholed into finding dirt on the singer in the 2021 film “The United States vs. Billie Holiday.”
