Hugh Dancy’s first significant role came in 2004 and it was next to Anne Hathaway in “Ella Enchanted.” He played Prince Char and had such great on-screen chemistry with Hathaway it jump-started both of their careers.

In 2004 Dancy also played Galahad, a reluctant but loyal knight whose primary goal is getting back home after his mandatory servitude ends in Antoine Fuqua’s "King Arthur.” Darcy went through rigorous training to play the part and learned to shoot a bow and arrow while riding a horse.

Hugh Dancy appeared in “Hannibal” as FBI special investigator Will Graham, a brilliant — albeit troubled — profiler with a unique ability to get in the head of serial killers. Dancy's portrayal of the character is a darker and more troubled version than Edward Norton's in "Red Dragon."

In 2016 Dancy appeared as Cal Roberts in “The Path,” a high-level leader in the Meyerist Movement with a goal to expand its reach while keeping the secret that its founder, Dr. Steven Meyer, is fatally ill. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Darcy said that he had to tap into his character's childhood to understand his belief system.

Hugh Dancy appears in Season 21 of “Law And Order” as Executive Assitant District Attorney Nolan Price, a former defense attorney who works under District Attorney Jack McCoy. “Law And Order” began in 1990 and is experiencing a revival that is being fueled in part by Dancy’s talent.
