Why Bruno From Encanto Sounds So Familiar

By CAITLIN ALBERS

One voice in "Encanto" sounds so familiar you might spend your viewing time trying to figure out who it is. That’s because the actor who voices Bruno has a very long history in Hollywood and has also voiced one of the animation world's most popular characters ever.

Bruno is voiced by the legendary John Leguizamo, who had breakout roles in such ’90s films as “Super Mario Bros” and "Romeo + Juliet.” Audiences may also know the actor from his portrayal of Toulouse-Lautrec in “Moulin Rouge!” and Aurelio in the “John Wick” franchise.

Leguizamo is also famous for voicing the lovable Sid from the "Ice Age" films. It’s one of many voice-over performances from the actor, which include roles in the Disney-produced series "Elena of Avalor” and "The Mandalorian,” showing the actor’s wealth of experience, well before we all didn’t talk about Bruno.
