Why Beavis And
Butt-Head Fans
Are Upset About
The Marketing
By JENNIFER MASHUGA
After a decade's absence, fans were surprised when Paramount+ released a trailer for "Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe" just a few weeks before the movie was to premiere on the streaming service. Even though the release was welcomed among "Beavis And Butt-Head" fans — who are also eagerly anticipating the revival series on Paramount+ — they didn’t appreciate the way it was marketed.
Many fans were unhappy that there wasn’t a lead up to the drop date. One fan on Reddit said, "Dude they really gotta work on their marketing, I didn't hear about the new movie until less than a week before it premiered and didn't read anything about them bringing the show back until right now.”
Others commented that it depended on if you have cable or streaming, with one fan stating that Comedy Central advertised it "at least once every break." Regardless, "Beavis and Butt-Head" devotees are excited the film is here, and the series begins on August 4th.
