After landing the main characters in an alternate timeline, Season 3 of “The Umbrella Academy” brings a host of new mysteries. One of these involves the identity of the woman seen next to Reginald Hargreeves as he surveys a skyline dominated by his business empire at the end of the season.
The woman is Abigail Hargreeves, Reginald’s wife, and she could be key to unraveling Reginald’s extraterrestrial origins in the future. In the previous timeline, she had died of unknown causes, but not before telling Reginald that their world needs him for some mysterious reason.
Now that Abigail is alive in the new timeline, we have to wonder what impact she’ll have on Reginald’s decision-making. Perhaps she is the reason why the Umbrellas don’t have powers anymore, or she could be a factor behind the growth of Reginald’s business empire — we’ll have to wait until Season 4 to find out.
