Season 10 of “Supernatural” introduced Rowena, a cunning witch who occasionally torments or assists the Winchester brothers with a demon son and a knack for reanimating her lifeless body, played by Ruth Connell. Connell acted as Rowena up until the final season in 2020, and she’s since moved on to other projects.
The Scottish actress landed the eerily similar role of the Night Nurse in Episode 3, Season 3 of the HBO Max/DC show “Doom Patrol.” The Night Nurse, who guards the tunnel of souls and assists death itself in its undertakings, is one of the villains the Doom Patrol and Dead Boy Detectives face when journeying back to the land of the living.
Though Connell's appearance was relegated to only a single scene in the episode, that's far from the end of her involvement in the role. She’s expected to reprise her role as the Night Nurse in the upcoming Dead Boy Detectives series from HBO Max, currently in development.
