What Happened To Sheldon's Sister After The Big Bang Theory?
By SHANE O'NEILL
“The Big Bang Theory” fans have been curious about what becomes of Missy (Courtney Henggeler) following the finale. Thankfully, a “Young Sheldon” episode offers up some answers.
In “A Pager, a Club and a Cranky Bag of Wrinkles,” Jim Parsons’ Sheldon explains via voice-over narration that Missy goes on to find happiness, start a family, and be with friends.
While this isn’t the most detailed description of Missy’s post–”Big Bang Theory” life, it’s nice to know that she’s okay. After all, she hasn’t had the happiest or easiest life.
As a child, Missy had to deal with the unexpected death of her father, George Sr. (Lance Barber). Then, she took a couple of years longer than most to graduate high school.
Later in life, Missy ultimately became a divorced mother of multiple children who had to resort to menial labor just to keep food on the table and a roof over her children’s heads.
With all of Missy’s difficult and sad history in mind, it’s even more satisfying to know that Missy goes on to live a happy life after “The Big Bang Theory.”
