This MCU Theory Explains Why Only One Marvel Character Could Touch The Time Stone

Time is a delicate thing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and fans are sharing theories about why they believe the Time Stone can only be touched by one character: Loki.
The Time Stone is one of six Infinity Stones that Thanos uses in the devastating Snap in “Avengers: Infinity War,” but the supervillain never physically touches the stone.
One Redditor wrote, “The inability to touch the Time Stone is a representation that the stone stands ‘outside of time’ … To control time [it] would need to be unaffected by it.”
In Season 1, Episode 1 of “Loki,” Infinity Stones lie dormant in the Time Variance Authority, allowing everyone, including Loki (Tom Hiddleston), to pick up the Time Stone.
That moment gives fans a good idea of just how powerful the stones are and how easily someone could get a hold of them, but it’s different if the stone were active.
Fans speculated that the Time Stone could be deadly because “time exists all at once,” so a body would be destroyed. There’s a reason why Thanos and Doctor Strange can touch it.
Doctor Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) Eye of Agamotto and Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) wearing the Infinity Gauntlet protect them while using the power of the Time Stone.
