The Worst Things
Margot Robbie

Her Roles

It takes a lot to get noticed in Hollywood, and Margot Robbie had to make a bold choice when she was called in to read with Leonardo DiCaprio for “The Wolf Of Wall Street.” Slapping an A-list actor like DiCaprio is a bold move, but he and Martin Scorsese were thrilled by the bold move.

In "The Wolf of Wall Street," Margot Robbie also had to shoot several sex scenes — one of which was pretty excruciating. The scene in question shows the Duchess of Bay Ridge and Jordan Belfort having sex on a bed of money, and the fake paper money caused Robbie to have small paper cuts all over her back.

Wearing long acrylic nails, spray tanning, and wearing heaps of makeup helped Robbie get into character for "The Wolf of Wall Street." However, the processing of getting all that done over the course of the shooting schedule was awful, and Robbie spent at least two hours in the hair and makeup chair every day.

Robbie brought the iconic Harley Quinn to life in 2016's "Suicide Squad,” and as part of her role, she jumped into a giant vat of chemicals, turning her skin bright white. In real life, it was a giant vat of paint, and Robbie did not have fun creating the moment as it covered her face and glazed over her eyes.

For her role of Tonya Harding in “I, Tonya,” Robbie spent 20 hours a week for five months practicing on ice while also shouldering producer responsibilities. The results speak for themselves as Robbie earned an Academy Award nomination for her performance, but she got a herniated disc from all the skating.
