Season 1 of "The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat" ended on one heck of a cliffhanger. While there have been no official statements regarding a continuation of the series, the final episode of Season 1 suggests there is more to come, so here’s what to prepare for.
Looking at the fact that Season 1 was announced in February 2021, but aired in October 2021, we can expect the second season to debut either in the summer or fall of 2022. Crunchyroll released an English dub for the first five episodes of Season 1 in November 2021, meaning a similar schedule could be set for Season 2.
“The World’s Finest Assassin” follows Lugh Tuatha Dé — an ex-assassin who gets reincarnated as an affluent assassin in a fantasy world by a goddess. Season 2 will see the return of Lugh and his companions, and also the Legendary Hero, Epona Rhiannon — who was introduced at the end of Season 1.
Given the timing of Hero’s introduction, it makes sense that Season 2 will mainly focus on Lugh and Epona’s relationship. Yet, despite the fact that Lugh has been intent on killing Epona so far, per the second volume of the light novel on which the show is based, Season 2 might see Lugh and Epona form a positive bond instead.
